CHENNAI: As part of its turnaround strategy, Tata Motors has been phasing out non-performing products like Nano and Indica and rolling in next-generation products to fill up the pipeline.
On Wednesday, the company announced the launch of its newest addition to the passenger vehicle family – Tiago NRG. To tap the growing aspirations of customers, Tata Motors has extended the Tiago brand with an all-new SUV-inspired vehicle, positioned as the ‘Urban Toughroader’.

With its distinctive design and technology, Tiago NRG will make an entirely new style statement said the company.
Powered by the 1.2L Revotron petrol engine and the 1.05L Revotorq diesel engine, Tiago NRG will be available with a five-speed manual transmission.
It will come in three attractive colour options – Malabar Silver, Canyon Orange and Fuji White, with dual tone infinity black roof and roof rails.

Available on sale from today, Tiago NRG has been priced at Rs 5.49 lakh for the petrol version and Rs 6.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the diesel version.
Guenter Butschek, CEO and MD, Tata Motors, said, "In line with our brand promise ‘Connecting Aspirations’, we want to be in sync with the growing trend of bringing to market more SUV like vehicles. To meet this aspiration, we launched today the Tiago NRG as our 'Urban Toughroader'."
