AP CM Chandrababu Naidu proposes 5 air force enclaves
AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to develop five air force enclaves in the state, said AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday. Speaking to a delegation led by B Suresh, in-charge of Southern air command, Trivandrum, at Assembly premises here , Naidu proposed Donakonda, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Bhogapuram and Nellore to be developed as the special air force enclaves.

The Air force delegation requested the AP CM to allot the required land at the respective airports. They expressed interest to expand the Suryalanka airbase, which is currently 1,350 acre, and requested Naidu to give more land. In Donakonda the officials sought 800 acre followed by 25 acre for Vijayawada, 10 acre for Bhogapuram and 55 acre for Nellore airport to develop air force stations.
