Punjab: One killed, 15 injured in lightning strike

FATEHGARH SAHIB: A man was killed, while 15 others sustained injuries lightning struck people sitting under a banyan tree in Kanpur village on Tuesday.
The victims had taken shelter under the tree as it was raining heavily and the railway crossing nearby was closed. While waiting for the train to cross, these people were standing under the tree when the lightning hit them.
According to the doctors at the Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital, the condition of seven persons was critical. The deceased was identified as Harmesh Singh (62) of Harbanspura village.
