BAREILLY: Claiming that the attention of intellectuals and media have been diverted from the basic problems for the last three-and-a-half year with topics like love jihad, beef eating and triple talaq to divide the country, the clerics at influential Dargah Aala Hazrat have decided to draw their attention towards increasing unemployment, security of the nation and education for all during Urs-e-Razvi.
The 98th Urs-e-Razvi will be observed next month.
Spokesperson of Dargah Aala Hazrat, Mufti Mohammed Salim Noori said, “For cultivating hatred among communities, communal forces have been raising issues related to love jihad, triple talaq and beef. Due to the controversy surrounding these topics, the attention of intellectuals and media have been diverted from real issues including eradication of poverty and illiteracy, rising unemployment rate and security of the country.”
“We have decided to make them understand about the basic problems of the country which are obstructing the country’s development. During the three-day event at Urs, special speeches will be given on all these topics. Only experts will address these speeches and they will also create awareness among public that they should not waste their time over debates on useless topics which will only divide the country,” he added.
Apart from speeches, the clerics have decided to distribute handbills. The 98th Urs-e-Razvi, death anniversary of Mujadid Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Qadri, founder of the Barelvi school of Islamic theology, will be observed here from November 24 to 26. The annual event is attended by lakhs of followers from across the world.
