The weekly series at
Tribal Museum Uttradhikar, organised several cultural performances. It was an amalgamation of music and dance with dancers and musicians as eminent as
Madhumita Roy and
Manish Pingle.
The performances unfolded with a
Kathak Dance dedicated to Om, the divine power that rests in all of us denoting three gods- Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. Following this, the next performance was Darbari, that was based on the Mughal styles.
It reflected the scene of a Mughal courtroom and traditions. The music of this performance was composed by Birju Maharaj.
As soon as the dance performances concluded, 'Vilambit', Veena Vadan enthralled the audience. Manish Pingle kickstarted by playing Raga Shyam Kalyan accompanied by his student. He sang two compositions both in different taals.
