Balasore: A statue of Mahatma Gandhi was found vandalised in Sovarampur government nodal upper primary school in Balasore district. It came to light when locals entered the school premises on Sunday after they noticed that some trees had been felled inside the compound.

IIC of Sahadevkhunta police station S S Nayak said the incident is suspected to have taken place on June 14 and could be the handiwork of anti-socials as the school was shut for the summer vacation.
