Computer science engineering steals the show at UIET

CHANDIGARH: The first cutoff list of the engineering and architecture colleges under Joint Admission Committee (JAC) was released on Thursday evening. After the first round of seat allotment on Thursday, the highest cutoff was recorded for BE in computer science engineering (CSE) at University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) , Chandigarh, with a closing rank of 23,178. The opening rank BE in CSE at UIET is 3,937, which is a new high.

The closing rank of CSE at Chandigarh College of Engineering & Technology (CCET), Chandigarh, came out to be 27,608 in the outside state pool whereas in the home state pool, the closing rank was 52,714. The closing rank of CSE in University Institute of Engineering and Technology, PUSSG Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur, after the first round is 51,435. Followed by CSE, BE in Information Technology at UIET, Chandigarh, also recorded high cutoff at the closing rank of 37,191.
