ICSI to award BCom topper in Pondy varsity

PUDUCHERRY: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Southern India regional office, has instituted ‘ICSI Signature Award’ to be presented to the topper of B.Com. course in the Pondicherry University examinations every year.
A memorandum of understanding in this regard was signed between the institutions in the presence of vice-chancellor Gurmeet Singh, registrar Sasi Kantha Dash, finance officer A K Prakash and controller of examinations (in-charge) B Chithra and ICSI Southern India regional office joint secretary Sarah Arokiaswamy and deputy director Chitra Anandhraman on Monday.
The topper in B.Com programme will be presented with a 14 carat gold medal and a certificate during the convocation ceremony. ICSI would also waive registration fees for executive programme stage for three students, who secure top three positions in B.Com in Pondicherry University examinations.
ICSI is the sole authorized body in the country to conduct coaching and examinations for the award of professional qualification and membership of the institute. TNN
