Vinayaka Chaturthi: Want to make Ganesha using palm leaves?

CHENNAI: As part of the Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations, DakshinaChitra is organising a one-day workshop on how to make Ganesha using palm leaves.
The workshop, to be held on the DakshinaChitra premises at Muttukadu on September 9, will be conducted by Kasturi, an expert who has converted palm leaves into various pieces of crafts.
Natural materials like the palm leaves and banana saplings will be used in the workshop to make Ganesha.
The workshop fee is Rs 1,000, inclusive of materials and transportation.
The timing is between 10.30am and 5pm.

Terracotta Ganesha making workshop
DakshinaChitra will also conduct a one-day workshop on terracotta Ganesha making for children on September 9.
After completion, the child participants can take home the Ganesha they made.
The workshop fee is Rs 500, inclusive of materials.
