GURUGRAM: In a major relief to over 100 families living in Brisk Lumbini Terrace Homes, Sector 109, the department of town and country planning (DTCP) has cleared the way for the set-up of a sub-station for power supply to the society. For three years, residents have been living without official power connections from the state government and are dependent on diesel gensets, which cause noise and air pollution.
On June 5, TOI had reported that after over three years of getting the possession of their flats, Brisk Lumbini were living without electricity.

Following the publication of the TOI report, the district town planner held several meetings with residents, and the developer was directed to provide land for a sub-station. The developer offered a plot of 500 sq yards to the department. After inspection, DTCP gave its approval on June 12.
“DHBVN will start the construction of sub-station once the developer fulfils the conditions of external development charges and other norms,” district town planner (planning) RS Batth said.
