With election atmosphere heating up, BJP's Telangana unit is gearing up to hold 50 public meetings in the next two months kicking off its election campaign from Mahbubnagar on September 15.

HYDERABAD: With election atmosphere heating up, BJP's Telangana unit is gearing up to hold 50 public meetings in the next two months kicking off its election campaign from Mahbubnagar on September 15. BJP national president Amit Shah will address the public meeting to be held at MVS College grounds.
The 50 public meetings will be held in all districts and important assembly constituencies where the party has considerable strength.
BJP president K Laxman said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend one or two meetings.
The meeting has been named as 'Markpu Kosam BJP Shankaravam' (BJP for change). The BJP is planning to mobilise over a lakh people for the maiden election public meeting from erstwhile Mahbubnagar district and also from the neighbouring districts such as Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad and Nalgonda.
BJP state president K Laxman, BJP state senior leaders including vice president Venkata Ramani, Baddam Balreddy, former MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and Mahbubnagar BJP president G Padmaja Reddy held a preparatory meeting for the public meeting at Mahbubnagar on Monday.
"A grand reception will be given to BJP national president Amit Shah at Shamshabad airport," Padmaja Reddy said. BJP president K Laxman said Telangana people would give a befitting reply to the TRS party in the coming elections. "KCR could not explain to people why there was a necessity for the early polls," Laxman said.
