HYDERABAD: To ease out hassles of booking, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is launching a new software ‘bus on contract’ (BOC) soon to provide a convenient mode to book buses on hire and pay for them online. This eliminates the need to visit the nearest depot.
Roads and buildings principal secretary and in-charge managing director of TSRTC, Sunil Sharma, said the software would officially be launched on August 22.
Post the launch, those looking to hire RTC buses for functions, cultural events, school excursions, sports meets and educational tours can book the buses on contract basis on RTC’s official website.
“Utilising the available technology, TSRTC has developed a new online system for booking buses on a contract basis. This system will be rolled out on August 22. Instead of visiting the nearest depot and paying the necessary amount, customers can now book the bus online on www.tsrtconline.in after submitting details of the type of service required, pick-up and drop points and time of journey,” a senior official said on Saturday.
The bus will pick up the customers from given pick-up point as per the journey schedule. “This online process is easier, less time consuming and more transparent for customers in comparison with the earlier process,” he said.
Customers facing difficulty while making booking on BOC system is advised to seek assistance from officials at nearest depot or nearest authorised ticket booking agent.
