INDORE: The colleges that don’t fill the details of All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) will not be able to avail the facility of scholarships for students and will not be eligible for National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation.
While the survey had already been interlinked with the grant, for the first time, Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has interlinked
scholarship of students and NAAC accreditation with AISHE.
Though DHE had opened the link of AISHE in the first week of December, out of around 290 colleges affiliated to
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), only 27 colleges have filled it.
The varsity has started approaching the colleges to fill the details.
“Although the last date to fill is February 20. We have already started asking the college’s affiliated to us to fill the details as besides the grants, now the scholarship and NAAC accreditation has also been linked to AISHE,” said DAVV vice-chancellor N K Dhakad.
The information on ‘ Know your college’ portal will be filled only with the help of this input and as parents and students go through the details online before planning to opt for a particular college, it is essential for the colleges to fill the details that are required.
“Filling this information is extremely essential even for the government as on the basis of this information, the government of India evaluates the General Education Requirement (GER), other academic, and social requirements,” said additional director of directorate of higher education (DHE),
Dr K N Chaturvedi.
