Three bullets recovered from businessman Sandeep Agrawal’s body

INDORE: As the police investigation into murder of businessman Sandeep Agrawal gained pace on Thursday, his postmortem examination was performed at MY Hospital amid tight security. DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra also announced a reward of Rs 20,000 to anyone providing clues leading to arrest of the attackers.
Body of Agrawal was referred from Bombay Hospital in morning, but, the autopsy was started at 12:30pm after his elder brother, Pradeep Agrawal, reached MYH and gave his consent to police for postmortem.
Meanwhile, around 100 supporters of Agrawal gathered at the spot. But, no ruckus was created since cops deployed in heavy numbers maintained law and order situation.
An acquaintance of the deceased told TOI that his elder brother had gone to Prayagraj to participate in Kumbh.
The body was first scanned through X-ray to ascertain where the bullets had pierced through before the forensic experts performed autopsy. At 5:45pm, the body was handed over to family members.
Three bullets were recovered from the body, while there were some injury marks of bullets passing through the body.
Over 1000 took part in funeral procession of Sandeep. It started from his Paliwal Nagar house. At the crematorium, an exchange of verbal abuses between a group of people.
Forces from Tilak Nagar, Palasia and Sanyogitaganj police station reached the spot.
“At the crematorium, one Satyanarayana Luniya entered into fight with some people participating in Sandeep’s last rites. He was arrested under section 151 of IPC,” Tilak Nagar police station in charge Shailendra Singh Jadon told TOI.
