Qatar has come out in support of flood-hit
Kerala by announcing a financial aid of Rs 34.89 crore to help provide shelter to those who lost their homes as a result of the humanitarian crisis. The Qatar Charity, through its representative in India, has launched emergency relief for those affected by the huge floods with a total value of half a million riyals during the first stage.
Meanwhile, the Kerala
diaspora in the Middle East is extending help and support to those hit by the devastating floods in the state.
The Kerala Samajam,
Bahrain, will send the first consignment of food items, clothes and napkins on Tuesday to NGOs in Kerala for distribution, a Samajam member said.
