Give info to tackle swine flu, hosps told
Meerut: With receding monsoons, the state government has sought for information on stock of medicines, reserved beds and other necessary kits for fighting swine flu. The state government authorities have pointed out that in 2017, as many as 3,881 people were detected with the H1N1 virus, out of whom 132 had died across Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, until September 11, 16 people have been detected with swine flu and three have died in UP.
In this backdrop, the state government has issued an advisory for preparedness.
“In 2017, as many as 3,881 people were detected with swine flu. Out of these patients, 132 had died across UP. In fact, in 2018 until September 11, 16 patients have tested positive for swine flu and three have died,” read the order issued by the vector-borne diseases department, UP.
In this backdrop, the state government has issued an advisory to be better prepared for swine flu.
“All of you are directed to ensure that medicines, test kits, vaccines and reserved beds are available for treating swine flu in all the hospitals of the state. Also, a detailed report on the availability of the required kits should be submitted to the state government authorities,” read the order issued to all chief medical officers across Uttar Pradesh.
