Man held with 1.1 kg drug in Muzaffarnagar

MUZZAFARNAGAR: Local police on Thursday arrested a man, Furqan, with 1.1 kg of Dauda-post. The resident of Kukda locality was notorious in the area for trading drugs and had been under police radar after complaints from locals.
According to police sources, the accused used to sell drugs in the local area and roadside eateries to truck drivers and conductors.
After getting a tip-off, New Mandi police arrested Furkan on Joly road and recovered 1.1 kg of Dauda-post (a drug) from his possession. Superintendent of police (city), Omveer Singh, said, “He was sent to jail after being produced before the magistrate. We launched a drive against drug dealers after busting a drug dealers’ gang on November 4.”
Nearly two weeks ago, a team from Meerapur police station had recovered 40 kg drugs from a luxury car, and arrested two men. Investigation revealed that the accused, Anuj Kumar and Rajat Chaudhry from Meerut, had degrees of MBA and BTech.
