MUZAFFARNAGAR: Miffed over Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad’s ‘soft’ approach towards the imprisonment of three Bhim Army leaders, ex-Bhim Army member Lokesh Katiar has launched a new outfit Bhim Army 2 to fight for the release of Upkar Banwar, Vikas Median, and Arjun.
Launching an attack on Azad, Katiar said, “Bhim Army has derailed from its path. Azad is just pretending to be a Dalit well-wisher.
It is confirmed that he has an association with the government.”
Katiar lambasted Azad for visiting the three leaders in the Muzaffarnagar Jail after eight months of their imprisonment, saying, “Azad is misleading youth by promising them the world. We have sent a memorandum to the President of India, Prime Minister of India, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and, SC/ST Commission to look into the matter.”
Meanwhile, Bhim Army has denied all allegations of its ex-member Lokesh Katiar. Jitendra Singh, district spokesperson of the Bhim Army, told TOI, “Katiar was sacked by the Bhim Army for receiving donations in the name of the party. He is indulging in mudslinging to cover-up his faults.”
