RSS begins massive mobilisation for Delhi’s Dharm-Sansad
This comes days after the Supreme Court adjourned the hearings of Ayodhya title suit case to January
MEERUT: Senior leaders of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) west UP unit and a battery of UP ministers met in Meerut on Thursday to brainstorm their course of action for the construction of Ram temple. The conclave was attended by more than a thousand workers of RSS, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and 20 other right wing groups affiliated to these organisations.
The groups have come together to draw a “blueprint” for a movement for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, on the lines of Ram Janambhoomi movement of the 1990s, and would flex muscles in its first major show of strength at Dharma-Sansand of saints and seers at Delhi's Ramleela Maidan on December 9.

This comes days after the Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of Ayodhya title suit case to January. It has not gone down well with the right wing groups who are now publicly denouncing the alleged “dilly-dallying” of the apex court in the matter.
“The Supreme Court should prioritise hearing on Ram temple which is a matter of faith for 1.25 billion Indians,” Dhani Ram, RSS prant pracharak said at the meeting.
The conclave has decided to throw its full weight behind the Dharma-Sansad which will see country’s top saints and seers in action.
“We have decided to deploy 5,571 busses to ferry supporters from 14 districts of Meerut zone. The buses will have no sign, name or flag of any political party but will wield bhagwa flags with Jai Shree Ram written on it,” Ajay Mittal, RSS’s Meerut zone prachar pramukh said.
The arrangements for the massive logistics have already begun. Soon, district and then block-level meetings will be held by RSS functionaries to assign individual responsibilities of garnering support, food and logistics for Dharma-Sansad on December 9, another RSS functionary said.
In a prequel to the main event, a ‘Dharma-Sabha’ will be organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Lucknow on November 25 which is expected to set the stage for December 9 show in Delhi where close to 4 lakh people are expected to be in attendance.
