Civic chief dismisses 3, suspends 1
Nashik: Three civic employees — two drivers and a labourer — were dismissed from service while one was suspended on Tuesday for various reasons.
One of the drivers, working with the fire department, Ravindra Ghule, was suspended as the departmental inquiry found him guilty in diesel purchase corruption. The inquiry was ordered after some irregularities came to fore.
Meanwhile, around 12 employees were asked to produce their caste certificates.
“Caste certificates were not produced on time by driver Ashok Dalvi and labourer Yashoda Jadhav. The deadline was extended till September 30, 2013. However, the still could not produce ther certificates. They were dismissed on Tuesday,” a civic official said.
Meanwhile, a woman employee, Santra Bodh, had taken home loan for deputy superintendent of police (anti-corruption bureau) Hemant Somvanshi’s property. Departmental inquiry found her guilty and she was suspended on Tuesday. Till date, 16 civic employees have been suspended, while 13 have been dismissed.
