RAIPUR: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel announced that a Gurukul education centre in the name of saint Guru Ghasidaas will be set up in Tapo Bhoomi Giroudpuri Dham soon.
During his first visit to Giroudpuri since becoming CM, Baghel said that the new government will work for the development of state by following the path shown by Guru Ghasidas, the founder of the Satnami sect.

The chief minister’s announcement came while he was addressing an event organised by state’s Satnami society in Giroudpuri.
Baghel worshipped the guru gaddi and sought blessings for prosperity of the state. The chief minister said that Guru Ghasidas’ message will be the guiding principle for the Congress government’s working. He also said that the government has decided to re-examine the Jhiram Valley massacre and sought the constitution of an SIT for the same.
On this occasion, several religious leaders and state ministers were also present.
Situated on the confluence of Mahanadi and Jonk rivers, 40km from Baloda Bazaar and 80km from Bilaspur, the Giroudpuri Dham is one of Chhattisgarh’s most revered pilgrimage points. The tiny village, which has deep associations of spirituality and historical interest, is birthplace of Guru Ghasidas.
