Skeletal remains found on industry’s campus in Surat

SURAT: Skeletal remains of an unidentified person were found in the changing room of an auditorium on the campus of a well-known industrial group in Hazira near here on Monday. Company officials alerted police who suspect that the skeletal remains were of a 27-year-old man, who had gone missing in 2013. They were recovered from the second floor of POY Complex.
Police have registered a case of accidental death and started investigation.A postmortem was carried out on the skeletal remains at New Civil Hospital, but it could not find out the cause of man’s death, police said.
“Only bones and some pieces of uniform were recovered. From the uniform it is suspected that the skeletal remains are of Chunilal Patil, an employee of a catering contractor. His family has identified the skeletal remains as that of him from the uniform,” said a police officer of Hazira police station.
