When women became friends with Mother Nature

Disposing garbage is a major concern that our country is facing at present. However, ladies in Kolhapur have come up with a solution that turns waste into manure. A solution wherein one can collect wet waste generated from food are been collected and put in a basket of soil. This wet waste turns into manure as you store it in coming times.
Bringing all women together for the initiative, a live demonstration was given at the event.This was flagged by Bhagirati Mahila Mandal, wherein, they were distributed cane baskets to start with the practice. This cause was supported by Inner wheel club of Kolhapur too. One can produce manure from waste generated at home was highly welcomed by the ladies. Women know of the fact that a lot of waste like vegetable peels, leaves etc. are there when they cook and this can be put to use at no cost whatsoever. By this initiative women pledged to make this as a regular habit and serve the Mother Nature in their own way.
