Revellers chill over jazz and fusion music

Revellers chill over jazz and fusion music
What’s Friday evening without some soulful jazz, a glass of chilled beverage and hours of endless adda with buddies? So, on a recent Friday, when The Bodhisattwa Trio, featuring Bodhisattwa Ghosh, Mainak ‘Bumpy’ Nag Chowdhury and Premjit Dutta, performed on the rooftop of a south Kolkata restopub, revellers, dressed in their casual best, turned up in droves to have a good time.
The band played contemporary jazz and fusion music and presented originals like Transcendence, Cronos, Triple Standard, The Void and
American Dream.
“I was very happy with the response we received from the audience. People with varied musical tastes coming together and appreciating experimental instrumental music is very encouraging for an artiste,” said Bodhisattwa.
