City boys opt for trendy bearded look
It seems beards are trending in men’s fashion once again in Patna. No, seriously! We have photographs to prove that. Girls no longer drool over their chocolate-boy looks. And more and more boys are sporting beards inspired by their screen idols. “Guys with beards have got this natural ability to draw attention even in the crowd. I would certainly prefer a guy with a beard to be my prom date,” said Adlin Manisha, a college student.

Classic look
If you think sporting a moustache is old fashioned, think again. Siddharth Kumar, a YouTuber, said, “I really like my bearded look. It adds to my style quotient. Muchhon par tao dena ek alag swag hai. Sporting a moustache was once seen only in period movies and was considered old school. Thanks to B-Town celebs like Shahid Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor and Ranveer Singh for breaking the stereotype.”
Trimmed look
Remember Shah Rukh Khan’s look in Jab Harry Met Sejal? A neat, trimmed bearded look is perhaps not a bad idea after all. Abhishek Singh, a student, is a diehard fan of King Khan and is inspired by the actor’s look in the movie. “I feel, a man without a beard is like a lion without a mane. I definitely can’t think of shaving it off,” said Abhishek, who is sure that his bearded look would help him meet his Sejal in the near future.
A sign of maturity

However, Ashish Aman, a student, has a different perspective on the subject. He said, “I remember a statement from Sadhguru’s TV show. When someone asked Sadhguru, ‘Why do you grow a beard?’, his reply was, ‘I do not grow a beard, it’s you who shave yours. I do not do anything; it’s natural.” According to many, a beard is a sign of patience and perseverance. Yes, sometimes it does become difficult to maintain, but it’s all about patience. When asked what his mom thinks about his bearded look, Ashish said, “My mom is comfortable with it. Whenever any relative or an acquaintance questions me about my look, she takes my side.”
Never out-of-fashion
Virat Kohli has perfected his moves not only on the field but off it as well. And guys adore his look. Rahul Pandey, an IITian, said, “Whenever I get a clean shave, I look like a baby. Beards and moustaches lend a feeling of maturity. I love the way Virat sports his beard. It’s so cool.”
A lazy man’s asset
Believe it or not, but beard is a lazy man’s asset. It makes you look handsome and dashing even without trying. You don’t have to go for a weekly shave, and yet you manage to attract the opposite sex. Chaitanya, a stand-up comedy aspirant, believes that a beard or a moustache may not fetch you girls or wisdom, but it will definitely make you stand out in the crowd. “And you will surely attract your teacher’s attention and your mother’s,” he said with a laugh.
