Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy which stars
Rajkummar Rao and
Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles had an excellent weekend as it easily crossed the 20 crore mark as the film has been applauded by the audience as well as the critics for its unique content.
According to a recent BoxOfficeIndia.com report, the film raked in Rs 9.50 crore on its second Sunday at the ticket counter which helped its total weekend collection to reach Rs 21.60 crore and an overall total collection of Rs 80.91 crore in just ten days.
The quirky horror-comedy which also stars
Pankaj Tripathi,
Aparshakti Khurrana and
Vijay Raaz in supporting roles, looks adamant to enter the Rs 100 crore club and if experts are to be believed then the film stands a good chance to make it.
Talking about the good response the film has received, Shraddha opened up saying "I have been reading all the messages about 'Stree' from my close friends, family and my lovely fans. The response is overwhelming, to say the least. I am extremely grateful to my director, producers and writers for making me a part of this amazing film."
