MUMBAI: The wait for actress Sridevi's final homecoming was prolonged as medico-legal procedures continued in Dubai on Monday.
Fewer fans gathered outside her Green Acres apartment in Lokhandwala Complex given that the repatriation of remains was delayed. "We are looking at regular updates on social media. Now that we know the body is not arriving anytime soon, it is better to be outside Anil Kapoor's house in Juhu where the celebrities are coming," said Shambhu Singh who had arrived from Goregaon.

Throngs of fans, security personnel and media personnel watched as high profile visitors entered Anil Kapoor's house at JVPD, Juhu, to offer condolence.

Arjun Kapoor, Boney's son from his first wife Mona, as well as actress Neelima Azim followed.
Anu and Shashi Ranjan of the Indian Television Academy went too. Anu said, "We are so shocked. Boney is on the jury of the Yash Chopra awards which were presented February 16, but he could not attend this year owing to this planned trip to UAE. On Monday we met Boney's mother who was crying bitterly. Anil and his wife Sunita were there accepting condolences from unending streams of mourners. They haven't slept a wink since Saturday. They are distraught given that their beloved sister-in-law has passed away so suddenly. Sridevi's children Jhanvi and Khushi were in a separate room in the company of their friends so they were not exposed to visitors. In fact the family has not had time to grieve."

Anupam Kher told reporters, "Some people have contributed so much to your life that speaking about them in the past tense is so awkward. I had done 16 films with Sridevi. So it is very difficult to speak of her as 'thi'. It will take years to register this loss."
Saroj Khan who choreographed most of Sridevi's popular songs said, "I can't believe it. It is yet to sink in. You have no idea what I am going through."
Meanwhile Waheeda Rehman who worked with Sridevi in Chandni said, "She was a brilliant dancer, a brilliant actor. She was not talkative. She had no tantrums but you had to accept that she was a very quiet person. She was one of those actors who could do any role with ease. In fact she gave 10 percent more than directors expected."
