Play Dwarika Ka Rahasya staged in Varanasi

A play 'Dwarika Ka Rahasya', was staged as part of a theatre festival by Acharya Ramchandra Shukla Natya Manch, in Varanasi, recently. The play, directed by Pratima Sinha, and based on Harishankar Parsai‘s story 'Sudama Ka Chawal', revolved around the story of Sudama, who meets his friend Lord Krishna with a handful of rice. According to the Parsai’s story the rice is confiscated by the guards at Krishna's palace and Sudama is unable to take it to his friend for whom he had so lovingly got a gift.The enactment of the characters by Ashutosh Pandey, Satyam Mishra, Saurabh Chakravarty , Priyanka Mehrotra were appreciated by the audience.
