After 'Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela' and 'Mayaanadhi,' both of which were critically acclaimed, actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has her third film '
Varathan' hitting screens soon.
The actress, who has been bagging plum projects back-to-back, says its the film's director
Amal Neerad who gave her the confidence to sign on the dotted line.
Apparently, the director, who started off the narration with an interesting confession, ended up impressing the actress hands down.
Aishwarya remembers, "He started with the line, 'Aishwarya, I am not great at narration. I will tell you the story the best way I can.' After that he went on to add, '
Fahadh Faasil is the hero.' And immediately, I said, 'Oh! Then why should I bother about making you narrate it, if Fahadh has given his thumbs up?' But I was extremely excited once he wrapped up the narration."
All that she wanted to ask Amal Neerad was whether she would be able to convincingly shoulder the character. "He said that he is confident to churn out the performance from me. And it's his assurance that emboldened me to take up this film," says the actress, who plays a woman named Priya in the movie.
