Jyotika’s next to roll in October

Even as two of her films are awaiting release, Jyotika has signed on her next in Kollywood. The actress will be seen playing the lead in a commercial entertainer, which will be directed by debutant S Raj. The film is scheduled to go on floors from October. SR Prabhu, who’s producing the film, says, “Raj narrated the story to Jyotika a few months ago and she liked the way it panned.He has been working on the script and the final version is ready now.
The film will be a drama — with an equal mix of commercial and social elements. We’ll roll from October and shooting will take place near Chennai.” A source adds, “Raj has worked with Caarthick Raju (of Thirudan Police fame) and has also assisted Ashok in Bhaagamathie. Meanwhile, Jyotika has completed work on both Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Radha Mohan’s Kaatrin Mozhi, and this will be her next project. An official announcement about the rest of the cast and technicians will be made soon.”
