Rajinikanth off to Dehradun for Karthik Subbaraj’s next

Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated gangster drama ‘Kaala’, superstar Rajinikanth has headed off to Dehradun to shoot for his forthcoming film with Karthik Subbaraj.

According to reports, the makers are planning to kickstart the shoot in Dehradun, which will be a month-long schedule. If reports are anything to go by, Rajinikanth is expected to wrap up the film in three months and the makers are eyeing a 2019 release.
To be made on a massive scale, the film is being produced by Sun Pictures and also stars Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal role.Reports state that actress Simran might play the female lead. Touted to be an action drama, the names of actors Bobby Simha, Sanath Reddy and Yogi Babu are doing the rounds for the supporting cast. According to recent reports, actress Megha Akash also landed a role in the film. However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers.
Music composer Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring for the film, which marks his first collaboration with both Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth’s much-awaited sci-fi thriller ‘2.0’ is likely to release by this year end.
