'Saamy Square' new trailer: Vikram shines in this action entertainer

The much-awaited trailer of ‘Saamy Square’ featuring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead is out and boy, the film appears to be high on action.
Going by the trailer, ‘Saamy Square’ appears to be a revenge sage between Aarusamy (Vikram) and Ravana Pichai (Bobby Simha), son of Perumal Pichai. ‘Saamy Square’ has several action blocks and promises an out-and-out masala film. Though the trailer doesn't give out much of the plot, the film seems to be packaged in such a way that it might work with the mass audience.The film is reported to be a revenge story that takes place years after the death of Perumal Pichai (Kota Srinivasa Rao).

For the uninitiated, ‘Saamy Square’ is a sequel the blockbuster cop thriller that released in 2003. Touted to be a racy entertainer, the sequel will see Vikram returning as the foul-mouthed police officer Aarusaamy.
Earlier this year, the theatrical trailer of ‘Saamy Square’ received mixed response from fans. However, the film has reasonably good hype, thanks to its predecessor. Produced by Thameens Films, the film stars Keerthy Suresh, Aishwarya Rajesh, John Vijay, Prabhu and Soori among others. If reports are to go by, the makers are planning to release ‘Saamy Square’ sometime later this month.
