‘Saamy Square’ : The Vikram-starrer to release on August 31?

The blockbuster duo -- Vikram and Hari are gearing up for the release of the much-awaited ‘Saamy Square’, a sequel to the cop-thriller that released in 2003. While the makers are currently wrapping up the film, an interesting news has cropped up on the internet.
According to reports, Hari and his team are eyeing for a release on August 31. However, the release date has not been finalised yet.Reports say that the makers might opt for another feasible date i.e. September 13. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.
Tipped to be an action-packed entertainer, the sequel will see Vikram returning as the foul-mouthed police officer Aarusaamy. Last month, ‘Saamy Square’ teaser was released, which has garnered more than 11 million views on YouTube. ‘Saamy Square’ will have the National Award-winning actor Bobby Simha playing the main antagonist. Earlier today, it was announced that actress Aishwarya Rajesh has replaced Trisha Krishnan’s role in the sequel.
Produced by Thameens Films, the film stars Keerthy Suresh as the leading lady, while John Vijay, Prabhu and Soori play supporting roles. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to handle the music department.
