Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha-starrer ‘96’ to release on October 4

The most awaited news is here! Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan-starrer forthcoming romantic drama ‘96’ has finally gotten a release date. According to reports, the film is all set to hit the screens on October 4.

Interestingly, ‘96’ will release a week after Vijay Sethupathi’s much-awaited ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, which is slated to release on September 27. On the other hand, the makers of ‘Seethakaathi’ are also eyeing a release sometime in October.Going by reports, it looks like Vijay Sethupathi will have back-to-back releases.
‘96’, which is being directed by cinematographer C Prem Kumar, has high expectations among audience, thanks to its trailer and charbusting album. Prior to this, ‘96’ was initially planned for a release on August 31. Reportedly, the film revolves around two high school lovers Ram and Jenny, played by Sethupathi and Trisha respectively.
Produced by Madras Enterprises, the film also stars Janagaraj, S Janaki, Kaali Venkat and Aadukalam Murugadoss in important roles. Govind Menon is scoring the music for the film. Notably, the album of ‘96’ has gotten fantastic response from music lovers. Particularly the song ‘Anthaathi’ became an instant addiction.
