Yogi Babu recently landed a pivotal role in director Sam Anton’s upcoming yet-untitled film. However, reports were doing the rounds that Yogi Babu was roped in to play the main lead.

In a short span of time, Yogi Babu has risen to become one of the prominent comedians we have today. The actor, who rose to fame after ‘Maan Karate’ and ‘Yaamirukka Bayamey’, has close to 20 films coming out this year. With back-to-back releases, Yogi Babu is certainly one of the busiest actors in town.

However, reports were doing the rounds that Yogi Babu was roped in to play the main lead.
Clarifying on the news reports, Yogi Babu, in a statement, said, “People have spread some wrong information about my next project. In Sam Anton’s film, a foreigner and a dog are playing the lead roles. As usual, I play a comical role. I wish to continue my journey as a comedian in Tamil and I would like to clarify that I don’t have any idea of playing a hero.”
Basking in the success of the latest dark comedy ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’, Yogi Babu will be next seen in Vijay’s ‘Sarkar’, which is slated to release on Diwali this year. The comedian will also be seen alongside Ajith Kumar in the upcoming commercial entertainer ‘Viswasam’, which will release on Pongal 2019.
