Album: Bhaskar Oru Rascal
Composer:
AmrishThis film, which is a remake of Bhaskar The Rascal, has five songs, unlike the original that has only three songs. The album begins with Amma I Love You by
Baby Sreya and Shreya Ghoshal. Instead of going for an emotional ‘amma’ song, this quite pleasant, which delves into the happy relationship between the daughter and mother.
And needless to say, both the Shreya(s) have nailed this one by giving the right emotions. This is followed by the title song rendered by the composer himself. Though the beats are good, the tune isn’t catchy. The tune is off at most places, making for an OK listen.
Thookanangoodu Adhil Tolet by
Krish and
Vandana Srinivasan is a romantic duet. It’s not too breezy nor loud for a melody, but the tune is definitely something different. The background strings and guitar interludes add an interesting touch. A different attempt by the composer. Ippodhu Yen Indha Kadhal by Andreah Jeremiah and Karthik is instantly likeable. The tune is well-composed and the singers take this one forward with their mellifluous voice. This duet, which has lyrics written by
Madhan Karky, is sure to make it to your playlist. The album ends with the theme song, Bhaskar Ra Ra Ra Rascal, which sets the mood for the film’s genre. With some portions sung by Amrish, the tune is not too loud yet packs in the punch.
