Vijay Deverakonda and
Rashmika Mandanna, whose ‘
Geetha Govindam’ is all set for release on August 15, have begun
shoot for their next film ‘
Dear Comrade’.
While the actors haven’t posted any such update on their social media yet, the filmmakers posted a picture of the clapboard and wrote, “#DearComrade starts rolling @TheDeverakonda | @iamRashmika | #BharatKamma” (sic) The film that began shoot on Monday is being directed by
Bharat Kamma and Justice Prabhakaran will be composing the music for the film.
Previously, the filmmakers had put out a casting call for talent in East and West Godavari districts. Further details of the film that was officially launched on July 2 are awaited. Buzz is that Vijay Deverakonda will be seen playing a student leader in the film. Rashmika Mandanna on the other hand will be playing a cricketer in the film, a character she has been reportedly taking cricket lessons for.
Other than ‘Geetha Govindam’, Vijay Deverakonda has a slew of other projects lined up, namely ‘
Taxiwaala’ (whose release has been postponed) and his first Telugu-Tamil bilingual
NOTA, which also stars Mehreen Pirzada.
