Navalmal Firodia Law College is winner of the Surana & Surana National trial advocacy moot court competition

PUNE: Courtesy towards court, clients and family was the key in legal profession, Justice Hima Kohli, judge at the Delhi High Court said during the Surana & Surana national trial advocacy moot court competition and national judgment writing competition. The competition was conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University's New Law College on September 9, a statement issued by the college said.
Kohli said in the statement that, "Legal profession is a gentlemen's profession.
Practical training is essential for a law student in order to develop lawyering skills."
Justice Sandeep Sharma, judge, Himachal Pradesh High Court said in the statement that, "Conduct is important for a successful career in legal profession. Young lawyers should strive hard to become good human beings."
Dean and principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Mukund Sarda said that, law had socio economic purpose also and that quality education was essential in all fields.
Meanwhile, DES Navalmal Firodia Law College, emerged winner of the competition followed by National University of Study & Research in Law, Ranchi in runner-up position while Sarthak Mehta was adjudged best speaker and National University of Study & Research in Law, Ranchi was awarded the best memorial prize.
The prize distribution and valedictory function was concluded in the presence of Justice A.M. Babu, judge, Kerala High Court, Justice A.S. Gaur, judge, Rajasthan High Court among others.
