T’gana MLA denied ticket, supporter sets self ablaze
HYDERABAD: After the announcement of 105 TRS tickets by party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, supporter of a dropped MLA attempted self-immolation on Wednesday, injuring four other party men in the process. Three of the five injured are said to be critical.
The man, has been identified as Gattayya, a staunch supporter of sitting Chennur MLA Nallala Odelu, who has been dropped. Peddapalli MP Balka Suman has been given ticket from Chennur and Gattayya was protesting the ‘injustice’ meted out to Odelu.

As Gattayya attempted to set himself ablaze, the kerosene he used also fell on four other TRS supporters. When Gattayya lit himself up, the other four also caught fire. Gattayya was rushed to the Karimnagar government hospital for treatment. The four other party men injured are yet to be identified.
