The strip has drawn considerable interest with the latest bid of 16 NZD (1 NZD = INR 47). So far 2 bids have been placed on the strip which the website asks the users to "Get in quick before Steve Smith buys it all up!".

However, there's a disclaimer on the website named Trade Me that says the sandpaper isn't the same brand as used by Cameron Bancroft which he used to roughen up the ball during the Day 3 of the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town to help his bowlers extract swing. But it assures it " it'll do the same job."
Perfect-cheating

At the time of writing, 310 people had added the item to their watchlist.
The auction ends on April 1.
Australia captain Smith was banned for one game as he and vice-captain David Warner stepped down from their roles on Sunday amid the ball-tampering scandal that has outraged the cricketing world and threatens a far more damaging fallout for one of the game's most exalted teams. Smith also relinquished the captaincy of his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals on Monday.
The ICC also fined Australia batsman Bancroft, who was the man tasked with doing the tampering on the field, 75% of his match fee and three disciplinary demerit points. There have been reports of Smith and Warner being banned for life depending on the severity of punishment Cricket Australia considers it necessary for the duo.
