Naagin 3: Mouni Roy gets emotional as Ekta Kapoor replaces her with a new face
The much loved show Naagin has been in the news for quite some time. Rumour mills have been overactive for the past few months regarding the cast of the proposed third season of Ekta Kapoor's Naagin series.
The show, that has been a major hit in China as well, is all set to return but, we hear, that the leading ladies Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan, who wowed the audience in the first two seasons, are not going to return with it.

It is speculated that Krystle D'Souza has been roped in for the role but an official confirmation is still awaited for the same.
Ekta Kapoor's Instagram post hints that a new face is all set to grace the screen in the third season of the popular show. The caption of her post read as: A new naagin arrives! As we bid Adieu to @imouniroy and @adaakhann from NAAGIN🐉🐉🐉🐉we welcome the NEW! Will soon reveal my new ‘naagin’ or should I say ‘NAAGINS’ #waitfornaagin3
Take a look at the post here:

Mouni Roy was one of the first ones to react to the post. She left an emotional comment that read as – "that hurt a little but am excited too."
Ekta replied, "You will always be a part of Balaji! For now, bigger things await u!!!!!! My dearest we will miss u on naagin!"
On a related note, it was earlier reported that Mouni Roy, had opted out of the sequel as she is Bollywood bound.
When Adaa was asked about starring in
Naagin 3 by timesofindia.com she had said, "People are assuming that I am a part of it, but I haven't committed to any project yet."
Adaa's character, Shesha, had given her career a boost in the first season but it had failed to recreate the magic the second time around. When she was asked about the same in the interview, she had said, "I don't have anything against anyone, as I was still appreciated for my work. Frankly, these things never bother me, as I believe in destiny. I played a double role — Shesha and Ruchika — and I don't know why it did not match up to the hype created by the first season. It could either be because the excitement level dips during the second season of any show or because people could watch it according to their convenience on other platforms."
Now, the identity of the lucky girl who will fill Mouni's shoes remains to be seen. Keep watching this space for more.
