When Karthik and Semba visited Mayan, Devi

Fans of Raja Rani and Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar will be in for a surprise as the characters of both the televisions serials will be meeting each other this week. This mega episode special for Vinayagar Chathurthi will have Karthik and Semba travel to Devi’s village for an event. And their portions will be telecast the whole of this week.
Talking about it, director Praveen of Raja Rani says, “We all know that Semba, who comes from a humble background, gets married to a rich guy, Karthik in Raja Rani.In Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar, Devi accidentally gets married to Mayan, a rowdy. Since both the storylines are about life after marriage, we decided to club both of them together for the special episode. In the storyline, Karthik and Devi are friends. He is on the lookout for a groom for his sister. And the guy whom they have chosen happens to live in Devi’s town. So, the important characters from Raja Rani, like Karthik and Semba, travel to Devi’s hometown. Devi would have told Karthik that she got married to a doctor. Since Karthik is travelling to her town, she makes Mayan act like a doctor. All of them spend some time in their town, take part in their village festivities, and also meets the groom. But Karthik learns that Mayan is a local rowdy and not a doctor through some incidents.”
An embarrassed Devi asks Karthik how he married a domestic help. “It is then that Karthik tells her that irrespective of their backgrounds, one has to love the person for what they are. He tells her that Semba is a good-hearted girl, and tells Devi that Mayan, too, is a nice guy, who loves her deeply. There will be several interesting sequences that is sure to interest the audiences,” he adds.
Ask him what prompted them to work on such a different episode, and he says, “The channel wanted to work on this idea. It will be something new and appealing for the audience. And luckily for us, both the serials had this small connection. So, it wouldn’t look made-up.” The mega episode will begin from Naam Iruvar... time slot and go on till the Raja Rani’s slot.
